Caleb Bearden doesn’t make noise—he captures sound. He finds it in the shuffle of footsteps, the low rumble of distant traffic, the quiet tension before a line is spoken. He knows that great sound isn’t just heard; it’s felt.  

He first got hooked on sound as a kid watching a PBS documentary on Foley artists smashing vegetables to mimic breaking bones. That fascination led him to Valencia College’s Sound and Music Technology program. At first, he imagined himself in a studio mixing albums, but as the industry shifted, so did his focus. Instead of fighting for a shrinking studio scene, he followed the work to where sound is made—in the real world, on real sets, solving real problems.  

Since then, he’s worked on reality TV, feature films, and music videos, always focused on capturing clean, natural sound without slowing production. On *Noah’s Ark*, he built a waterproof rig to protect his gear from ocean spray. When a sound system failed on a Cannibal Corpse music video, he had backup gear ready and took over playback.  

Caleb stays ahead of problems, works quietly, and makes sure sound is never something you have to worry about. If you need a mixer who knows what he’s doing, you want Caleb.
